Could it be your mouse button is not quite sensitive enough? It works fine for me. If continue to have trouble, please give *precise* steps to reproduce - using the default My First Score, or some other score you attach - so we can investigate. Also say which build of MuseScore you are using (see Help / About) and what OS you are on.

Can you attach the score you are having problems with and give precise steps to reproduce the issue?
It is on all scores. I find just a quick tap makes it not work. I have to hold the button to make sure it works.
