Set Measures/Bars per line
Hi everyone, I know this has been asked many times but I've tried everything I've read on the forums and I can still not get a simple 4 bars per line.
I've tried the 'Break Every X Measures' plug-in which doesn't seem to work. I select all the measures and choose it to break every 4 measures and there are only 2 measures per line.
I've tried going in to, 'Edit General Style ----> System---->Fix Number of Measures' set this to 4 and still doesn't work. Still does 2 per line
Its such a great program but so frustrating that this isn't just simple to set this for people that literally only need to use it for the most basic things.

Several things come to mind:
1. Posting the score is always helpful, even if its only the first few lines. A pic would even be good.
2. Only getting two bars per line is likely due to lyrics or the number of notes per bar.
The pluginshould be inserting line breaks every four measures - do you see the green line break icon at the end pf each fourth measure? If so, it has done it's job. But just because there is a line break every fourth measure doesn't mean MuseScore will be able to actually fit four measures per line. Your measures must be too big to fit four of them on a line, so you'll need to either reduce the size of everything (page layout, page settings, scaling), make your paper bigger (same dialog). Spmetimes simply reducing the "stretch" factor (see layout menu again) will do the trick.
