Stronger form of double bar
I'd like a way to end a section with a double bar that resets all time and key signatures. This topic has been addressed elsewhere in discussion of multi-movement pieces, but I didn't see it discussed from this perspective, viz. just adding a stronger kind of barline that throws out all previous context and prevents insertion of courtesy signatures. There should also be an option of the barline ending the staff mid-page, rather than requiring manual insertion of a horizontal frame.

I don't quite understand what you mean by "resets all time and key signatures". Reset them to what? And how is this different from simply changing to the desired time or key signature at that spot? If it's just about not wanting the courtesy signature at the end of the line, or not wanting the key signature to contain naturals, note those can be hidden - just right click and select "hide courtesy" and/or "hide naturals".

I realize I can turn off these features (I have them turned off) but there are certainly situations where you do want them. Nevertheless, I certainly don't want them when moving from one movement to another. So I'd like a "super-double-barline" that treats the next measure as if it's the first measure of the score. That way, I can use the courtesy features if I choose to without having them in surprising places.

I guess I'm still having trouble understanding exactly what you mean when you say "as if it's the first measure of score". Could you give a specific example - a score that contains an ordinary double bar, then explain what you'd like to see different? if it's just suppressing the courtesy key and time signature, not I wasn't talking about suppressing them *globally* via the Style menu; I was talking about right clicking the actual key signature, and selecting "hide courtesy signature" from the popup menu.
But given the context is multiple movements, this is indeed another cases where 2.0 will support that sort of thing better.

Oops, that's another feature I had missed, sorry. Yes, that should do the job.
Just to answer your question, "as if it's the first measure" was just another way of saying "start of a new movement" where there is no connection to previous measures, in terms of key/time signature, selection, cut/paste, etc. Basically the "super barline" would insert a break that nothing would span. I thought this might be a useful way to think about the multiple movement issue -- as a form of break, rather than as some new higher-level element. Of course I hadn't even heard of 2.0 when I made my initial comment, so it's been approached in whatever way seemed right.

That 'super double bar' should be part of 2.0, called "Section break", to be found in the 'breaks and spacer' palette
