saving edited files
various text can be edited. Example, changing instrument name at beginning of score. I can change it on the score, but when I leave that field, it reverts to prior. So editing seems very transitory. I find no help for this in the manual or on line. Help.

How are you changing it?
Right-click into the staff, staff properties, change long and short instrument name, maybe also partname. See also https://musescore.org/en/handbook/staff-properties
