MuseScore doesn't seem to import pedal events when opening midi files (MuseScore 2.0.3 on Xubuntu 16.10):

1) Open the attached score "Test_2.mscz".

2) Play it with MuseScore. Result: pedal is heard.

3) Export to MIDI and open the file with MuseScore, or open the attached file "Test_2.mid".

4) Play it with MuseScore. Result: no pedal is heard. However, I hear it when opening the MIDI file with another software, so I guess the problem is that pedal events are not imported by MuseScore instead of not being exported.

I have the same trouble with the Midi files saved from my Roland FP7, so it would not only be an issue with MuseScore not exporting pedal.
I tried the same Midi wit Aria Maestosa and it does take the Pedal when playing on PC and Jazz does send Pedal info when sequencing the Midi File back to the Piano.

I hadn't found this thread before making a post: https://musescore.org/en/node/246916. I am having a similar issue, though what's bugging me in my case is that the pedal line does not appear when opening the MIDI file. @jpfleury, was your example mscz file a direct MIDI import showing the pedal line? Or did you manually add that?

Thanks very much,

-Walter

Same experience under v 3.6.2.
Musescore doesn't read sustain pedal data (CC#64) from MIDI files which is so inconvenient for me since I'm used to prepare everything in a DAW and use Musescore just to convert MIDI to PDF notation with minimal editing.
IMHO, such feature (the accepting of MIDI sustain data) would be extra useful.
