Several Questions Importing XML Files

1) Is it possible to import the xml file into a custom saved style? Becomes a long tedious exercise converting preferences once it is done.

2) How do I expand the last 4 bars of score? I tried deleting them thinking that would solve my problem but then the preceding 4 bars shrink.

3) Is there a way to set and save a particular set of preferences as a global default for all new/imported/copied scores?

See edit / preferences / import - that sets the style for imported scores. Still, not everything is converted - MusicXML contains "too much information" and MuseScore doesn't like ignoring some of it. I often do the import but then copy and paste into a fresh score.

The ladst bars will automatically expand to fill the line ifthey exceed the Last System Fill Threshold under style / general / page. Or if ypu don't want them stretched all the way to rght margin, append a horizontal frame and size it appropriately.

See above for style settings on i port. Tere is no currently no way to set style defaults for new scores created from scratch, but you can create your own templates and base your scores on those. I think 2.0 has a facility for specifiying style defaults.
