Serbian language
Hello there!
I've been Finale user for quite a few years now, and just now I came across Musescore, and I Just LOVE it!
I would like to contribute by translating both the program and the handbook as well.
Now, I never did this kind of job but being that I am well in matter ( being arranging and composing for years and almost every possible combination of instruments) I think I could do good!
This would be great to have in Serbian language and I am more than willing to help!
Please fill me in on what to do

Hey Vlajkovic, thanks for stepping up to translate MuseScore to Serbian. I'll be assisting you along the way. Let me first prepare some things, activate the language for the site and the software.
One request from my side: could you translate for me the following strings to Serbian?

I activated the Serbian language on musescore.org so now you can start translating all the content on this site to Serbian.
In order to learn how things are working, you could start with translating the teaser page:
All the other pages on musescore.org are translated in the exact same way. Click on the page, search for the translate tab at the top and click to add a new translation.

I am working my way trough all of it..
got one question... do I have to translate some things that are the same? such as chord names ...
Do I need to type it anyway or could leave it blank?

You can leave'em blank. But you may also just copy them, so in the summary you have better picture on how far in the translation process you are

I noticed you translated the handbook outline already. Great! I made sure the menu title is now translated as well. See http://musescore.org/sr
Once all the handbook pages are translated, we'll automatically create the outline of the handbook. This way, all the pages will be automatically set in the right outline/order so you don't need to worry about this right now. After the automated outline, we can compile one large pdf of the Serbian handbook which people then can download from the website.
In order to test your translation in the MuseScore software, here are the instructions:
* first download the attached languages.xml file and save it to your local MuseScore directory under locale/languages.xml (change the name of the original file first so you have a backup copy). This languages.xml contains now a line for the Serbian translation
* Second, download the qm file from http://translate.musescore.org/translate/languages/sr/download and save it to the same locale folder.
* Start up MuseScore and go to Edit > Preference: language
* Select Српски and restart MuseScore
One day we hope to have a complete automated translation deployment system (still looking for developer help), but for now we have this manual solution.
