Pedal mark is changed from Ped__* to L_I shape unexpectedly on MAC OS 10.12

I use standard pedal mark (starts with "Ped" and ends with *).

Since some time the pedal marks in my project started to change type to the the next in the lines list (looks like I______I).

When I change the pedal marks back to the original ones (Ped___*) the marks (nearly all) are changed to different "I____I" shape again after several edit events.

Can't identify what triggers the marks change to the unintended ones.
Can you please advise how to cure the project to get the chosen pedal marks persistent? Thanks
