Dialog Box Size

Hi.
Just before the winge, a quick congrats to you all - this is a superb piece of software. I'm using it for instant-scoring for a school production - 0.9.5 on a little Ubuntu netbook, and it's near-perfect, other than the odd crash now and then, (along with the chordnames-paste stuff) ... but...

As are many netbooks, this has a 1200x600 screen, and many of the dialog boxes - 'Edit/Preferences' and 'Chords' particularly are too big to fit. It looks to me like these could be redesigned slightly - squeezed a little here or there, and the 'hemidemisemidimidomiquaver' thing improved in the 'Harmony Properties' box.

Cheers,
Ben

Thanks for sharing the dimensions of the screen. I can shrink the "Edit/Preferences" dialog to 860x500 later this evening.

Which "Chords" dialog is too big? The one's I've looked at should easily fit on a 1200x600 screen. Also what do you mean by the "'hemidemisemidimidomiquaver' thing in the 'Harmony Properties' box"?

When right-clicking on a Chordname and choosing "Harmony Properties", I'm presented with a dialog approx 1600X400. (See screenshot) The reason it appear so wide is the chord extensions list (Maj, Maj7 etc.) also includes a number of entries like "hemidemisemiquaver {9?}" , which is either a bizarre Zappa-esque jazz chord, or a bug :) These entries also make the dropdown, which spans two columns of the list, hugely wide (as well as hugely comprehensive :) )
Cheers,
Ben

As an Older Style Brit myself, I have to confess that I've never seen a Hemidemisemiquaver{9} chord :) I suspect from David's answer below that the rest of the world is seeing a triangle symbol or similar...

I'm having the same problem running 0.9.6* under Ubuntu Lucid on a Packard Bell Dot with a 1024x600 screen. I can't see the click boxes at the bottom of the dialog box to alter preferences.

*I've got an issue with that but it's a different topic.
