Adding midi sounds

• Apr 17, 2017 - 09:29

Hi,
I have been looking through the sheet music on the musescore website and I've noticed that some people add midi sounds to their musescore files so that when you click play it will play the midi sounds that have been prerecorded instead of the usual musescore sounds. If anyone knows how to do this, please leave a comment below. I have Sibelius and Mixcraft so i was hoping to be able to import sounds from those. Again, if anyone knows how to do this, please leave a comment below.
Thanks

If you mean, you wish to use different soundfonts while using MuseScore, see the Handbook under Soundfonts to learn how to do this. Or you can use Jack to send MuseScore's MIDI output to an external program to handle the playback.

If you mean, you already have such audio and you want to make it so that audio gets used on musescore.com as well, there is a feature on that site that allows you to specify an alternate audio source to use for your score.
