Tying chords
I've tried each suggestion (click on stem, selecting the notes in the chord, etc., using shift/+ or toolbar symbol) with no success.
Are there any other options for tying chords?

Provided all the notes are in the same voice you do it like this:-

Thanks Michael but I've already tried that (click on stem of chord then on the tie symbol above (or sntrl/+) but it doesn't work. I have musescore 1.0. Maybe I need an update?

The latest version is 1.2 - I would recommend upgrading.

Yes, I think that feature was added at 1.1. I think in 1.0, the only way is to tie each note one by one.
