Cannot add tie in one specific known circumstance but not in any other circumstances

Hi! I'm in the process of composing this piece, and in the top staff of measure 56, on page 4, when I try to add a tie between the 2 half notes C# and 2 dotted eighth notes C# in the next beat, either by (1) clicking the tie button; (2) adding the tie during note entry; or (3) adding the tie after note entry by using the plus key, either by using the number pad section of the keyboard or using 'SHIFT + =', a tie appears in neither the score nor the playback. The 4 aforementioned notes are all in the same voice, and I have no trouble at all using any of these three methods in other circumstances.

This problem was noticed more than a week ago, and I have restarted this Windows 7 computer since then, but to no avail. Could you please determine whether I am doing something wrong or if the program (Musescore 2.0.2) has a bug? Thank you in advance!

I don't see any problems adding a tie using a pre-release build of 2.1, to be released within the next few days. But I see the same if I try a very old build (your 2.0.2 is a couple of years old at this point). The problem is the grace note - see the following bug report (already fixed in 2.0.3, as well as in the upcoming 2.1):

#83286: Unable to apply tie if grace note found in higher numbered track

So, update to 2.03 - or better yet, 2.1 when it comes out - and you'll be good. For now, you can delete the grace notes in that bar, add the ties, then add the grace notes back.

Click on the note, hold Shift -> right arrow, left arrow to select the chord*

It should work (but apparently not useful on the previous version, sorry)
