Unable to apply tie if grace note found in higher numbered track

Open attached score (Guitar staff and Tab). Try to create a note tie between the two D#'s in bar 2. Nothing happens. But you can create a tie between the corresponding notes in tablature.

Marc S. reckons that the grace note B in voice 1 may be stopping the tie forming, but I have tried deleting this grace note (and deleting various other ties and grace notes) and the tie still does not form. The only workaround seems to be to copy and paste the bars, which somehow revives the tie function.

Not the one in voice 1 in the *same* staff - it's the grace note in the *second* staff that causes the problem. Delete that and the tie can be added normally.
