Compatibility between Musescore 1.2 and 2.0.3 on Mac
Hello,
I'm using Musescore 2.0.3 on a MacBook Pro, but I would like to use the scores I created with version 2.0.3 on another, older Mac also, running OS X 10.6.
Musescore 2.0.3 does not run on this OS X 10.6, but Musescore 1.2 does.
However, scores saved using Musescore 2.0.3 cannot be opened with 1.2. Is there a workaround? Would it be possible, i.e. to export my scores to another format, that could be opened in turn with Musescore 1.2? Even if I would loose some of the advantages of version 2.0.3, it would help me if I could reproduce the scores on that older (dedicated) Mac.

You can export it to MusicXML (under files->export) in 2.0.3 then open it in 1.2.
And check whether to update to MuseScore 1.3 on that other Mac

This method works perfectly. Unfortunately,version 1.3 is not recommended for this computer, but 1.2 does the job!

1.3 is recommended, it is the latest 1.x Version. But depending on your Mac's hardware 1.3 may not work at all, 1.3 won't run on a 32-bit Core Duo, it needs a 64-bit CPU
Thanks for your comments, indeed, 1.3 is not recommended for my oldie Macbook!
