Musescore 2.1 version is not working. Main screen is not opening. Now, I'm using 2.03 v. again.

Title Program is not opening. MuseScore creates entry in Task Manager, but never paints

Fresh install on a Windows 10 laptop. Specs:

Dell Latitude E5470
Win 10 Pro x64 (10.0, build 14393)
Intel i5-6440HQ
8gb ram
intel HD graphics 530
Radeon R7 M360

The problem exists in MuseScore 2.1, or whichever build is that hosted on the official download page as of the time of this writing. I can't check the about screen for hopefully obvious reasons.

I tried using the nightly build (MuseScoreNightly-2017-05-10-1820-master-78d4ebe) and the problem exists there too.

Another thread suggests removing the MuseScore entry from the AppData/Roaming directory, but none exists.

I do have multiple desktops activated. Neither MuseScore nor nightly shows up on either of my two desktops, but perhaps it's related to the issue.

If someone cares to explain how, I will import the repo to Visual Studio and run the JIT debugger.

Ok, 15 minutes later the program opened up! Do you want me open a new issue for this problem or change the title of this issue to reflect it?

I started running the command "C:\Program Files (x86)\MuseScore 2\bin\MuseScore.exe" -F at 18:00 EST, I'll let you know how long it takes for the main window to show up.

Running this command resulted in a splash screen following by a "This program is not responding" dialog. I tried waiting on the program, but the dialog reappeared immediately, and thus I ended the program.

"C:\Program Files (x86)\MuseScore 2\bin\MuseScore.exe" -F -w

I then tried running it with the -w option but without the -F option,

"C:\Program Files (x86)\MuseScore 2\bin\MuseScore.exe" -w

and I now have two background process entries in task manager without any accompanying form/dialog/window.
