Can't install MS 2.1 on windows10
Windows10 & Norton anti-virus both gave several warnings while attempting to install 2.1, and despite my responding "install it anyway" I'm eventually stopped with the message "This installation package could not be opened. Contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package".
Any ideas on how to get past this roadblock would be appreciated.
FYI, the download was done with no problem, and the MuseScore-2.1.msi file is sitting in my downloads folder.

That's an entirely different issue (but indeed the same error messags), if I understand it correctly, it is a workaround for .msi files to not install via double-click

Sorry, you are right. If it's just a matter of antivirus add the exception?
