Update to the FluidR3_GM Soundfont
Those of you using the FluidR3 soundfont in preference to TimGM6MB may be interested to know that there is now an update available from the MuseScore sounds project FileFactory account.
This fixes a missing note at the upper end of the violin range, and also extends range of that voice to the complete professional range.
You can find it here:

This soundfont has major problems within the contrabass. Please have a look at the attached file. You can put the three bass-voices to solo and easily see that many of the notes are not played ...

That is because there are no notes assigned to a sample above MIDI #57
Normally you wouldn't expect the contrabass to be played any higher.

Sorry for my ignorance. I'm really quite a lay when it comes to music ... but I'm willing to learn ...
I was aware that many of the notes are going over the pitch range defined by default in MuseScore for contrabass; shown by the coloured notes. But since there are also notes displayed in black which are not played and since other fonts play all of the notes I thought it might be a problem of the font.
Thanks for clearing this up

presumably they have been left unmapped to save space
