Normal and cross noteheads shouldn't extend beyond stave line
1. Open attached score (produced in 1.3).
Result: The notehead extends beyond the stave line.
Notes: Regarding the normal notehead, page 10 of 'Behind Bars' states: "The notehead fills the space, touching the stave-line on each side of it, but without extending beyond either line:"
Regarding the cross notehead, page 11 states: "It fills a stave space."
Using MuseScore 2.0 Nightly Build (770b64b) - Mac 10.7.5.

Reading page 12, I'm not sure about xcircle.
What about others?

Regarding the others, here is a full (?) suite.
You can take almost any manually engraved sheet music to counter this "rule" from Behind Bars. I don't see how this is a bug.

This is nothing MuseScore can enforce. Its a property of the music font used. So the font designer decides how big note heads appear on the score.
Personally i like note heads which are bit "fatter" as they are easier to read.
