My computer says the software has a virus and i cant download

I'm trying to download this software on my laptop and it's saying that it contains a virus and was deleted. I've tried about ten times and I kept getting the same response from my laptop. Has this been an issue in the past? Is there something I am doing wrong? I need to know.
