Irregular triplet made out of a quaver, a quaver rest and a minim

• Aug 18, 2013 - 13:09

Hi,

I am trying to write a triplet that is made of a quaver followed by a quaver rest and a minim. How would I be able to do that? Could I select the three elements and then put the triplet sign at the top somehow?

Thank you in advance,
Alexandra

You would create this the same as any other tuplet - by first asking yourself how many beats total this is supposed to last, then asking yourself how many equal parts you want to break this into. The notes and rests you mention would normally add up to two beats, and you want them divided into three eqyal parts, so you select the half note then type Ctrl-3. Then you can can enter the notes.
