Stems thicker than the stave line
1. Open attached score (produced in 1.3).
Result: The stem is thicker than the stave lines.
Discussion: Page 13 of 'Behind Bars' states: "Stems should be thinner than the stave-line, but not so thin as to reproduce lines too faintly."

You may notice that the stem can be seen in the white area of the note head, which doesn't seem right.
Fixing this issue may correct this.
By default, note stems = 0.13sp and staff lines 0.08sp in the current nightly. Do you have a better proposal? What's the default in Sib, Fin, Lilypond? Any other book?
From http://forum.makemusic.com/default.aspx?f=6&m=366604
In a Finale 2009 document, the default thicknesses are (all measurements in spaces):
Barlines: 0.14583
Heavy Barlines (i.e., Final Barlines): 0.5
Staff lines: 0.14583
Leger Lines: 0.14583
Stems: 0.14583
In a Sibelius 5 document:
Barlines: 0.16
Heavy Barlines (i.e., Final Barlines): 0.5
Staff lines: 0.1
Leger lines: 0.16
Stems: 0.1
I don't have a better proposal, but I'm sure Werner (or whoever) will be able to come up with something good.
I was actually surprised that the stems should be thinner than the stave line. I'm sure Miwarre will probably have something to say ;).
An interesting reading http://matthewmaslanka.blogspot.fr/2011/07/behind-bars-readthrough-chap…
Elaine Gould's statement seems to be quite polemical.
