Incorrect nominal and actual duration when changing actual duration and time signature of bar before in 1.3 score
1. Create 12/8 score in 1.3.
2. Right-click first bar.
3. 'Measure Properties...'.
4. Change 'Actual duration' to 3/8.
5. 'OK'.
6. Drag 9/8 time signature to anacrusis.
7. 'Save'.
8. Open in 2.0.
Desired result: The first bar (excluding anacrusis from count) has a 12/8 time signature.
Actual result: The first bar has no time signature.
Discussion: By having no time signature, the user may believe they have 9/8 from the first bar onwards, when it is 12/8 internally. By doing the 'Desired result', the user is warned about this 1.3 bug and can manually resolve it.
Note: I attach the 1.3 score if is to be tried from step 8. Steps 1-7 don't seem reproducible in 2.0.
Using MuseScore 2.0 Nightly Build (a10de7d) - Mac 10.7.5.
Comments
The score in 1.3 looks exactly the same than in 2.0. It's not a bug and this is far from critical. If you can reproduce from scratch in 2.0, please open a new bug.
Yes, it does look the same.
The point is, a time signature should be displayed.
Although there is no corruption, there could be along the line.
Ok I explain again.
The score looks the same in MuseScore 1.3 and 2.0 --> There is no bug. There was a bug in MuseScore 1.3 but the score was not displaying time signature, adding one would destroy the layouting and make scores look different in 2.0, and that would be considered a bug!
If you can create the same situation with 2.0 only and you think a time signature is missing, please open another bug. I followed the steps in the top post in 2.0 and I can't reproduce, first measure is 3/8 and the rest of the measures are 9/8 as expected.
Forgot to mention 1.3 in title.
