Can't remember (or find) how to have header appear on the first page only.

• Jul 5, 2017 - 18:06

I use this to number my pieces.

When I now go to the header in Styles/General, I can put this number in the top right corner and I update it every time. This would result with the number being placed in the top right corner. There used to be a way to select it so it only appeared on the first page, but i cannot find it now. This used to work although it is some months since I used this.

There is no help in the Styles/Text/Header area.

How can I restrict the tune number to the first page?

Thanks but how to make it work?

If I write the number in the Rt. Hd. box, the number appears on all pages. If I add the key $c as suggested in the same box, for some reason the copyright moves up to the top and appears across the whole page.

How do you make it work? A picture of the key sequences alone is not enough info. How do you apply the command?

My sense is there is not a way to have a header on first page only. You can control whether it occurs on the first page *in addition* to other pages, but the whole point of a header is to be present on multiple pages. if you want something on the first page only, don't use a header - add it as ordinary text to the title frame.
