When double-clicking on a bar line, a small, blue square should pop up to indicate that the user may resize the bar. Only about 30 percent of the time it does so, however. The bar is always adjustable when double-clicked, but the box is not always shown. If you know where it is, though, and click and drag where it should be, then it will eventually appear. If one were to click on a blank space after double-clicking, the blue box would flash as if there all along, then disappear.

I'm not able to reproduce this on Windows. If you notice that you are doing something differently between the times it works and the times it does not work please let us know.

No, sir, this is a constant occurrence, and has been ever since I've used the program. It does happen less frequently with the most recent packages.

I cannot reproduce this on Linux ubuntu 8.04 with musescore r2005 selfbuilt with qt4.5.2
(nor windows or mac)

Maybe it's score dependant ?

lasconic: I don't know much about qt, but is this because I have qt 4.5.0? I browse through synaptic and basically all installed qt packages are on version 4.5.0, and you seem to be running 4.5.2.

Is there a specific .deb package I could download to update and see if it fixes the problem?

I found out that the problem is Compiz. When using Metacity, it works just fine, but Compiz seems to be the problem, and even on the latest 0.9.5 it is still there.
