Hi guys,

I was really excited to find this program! Thanks for offering it!

I am using Windows Vista and I downloaded version 0.9.3 and it seemed to work well. :) Then I realised that 0.9.4 was already out, so I downloaded that, but I am now having a problem with sound...

I can play and hear the demo piece, but no sound comes out of my own works, even though the blue bar travels across the notes. I have read all the forums and followed the instructions for troubleshooting but got a bit lost at "downloading sound fonts" as I am running a different OS to the person in the trail and also because the recommended "prerelease" was no longer available. I think I downloaded an 0.9.5 prerelease and got an error message!

Can you help the non-tech-savvy?

Thanks so much :)

Hi Anthea,

I don't know how you installed all the versions, so in order to help you out, let's uninstall all the versions you have on your system first and then install the very latest release candidate.

Check again whether you can play the demo sheets. If so, try your own sheets. Come back to us with that test result.

Hi, thanks so much for that. It worked! :)

However it says "unstable prerelease" every time I open it - is there anything else I need to do?

Also, the notes and accents on the 2nd toolbar are really blurry - noticeably more so than the previous version. Is this normal?

Thanks again! :)

There will be a new stable release in a few days. That wont have the 'unstable prerelease' tag anymore. However, only a few things have changed between the release you have and the new stable one, so don't worry.

Regarding the icons: thanks for notifying. We'll be looking into that.

I close this issue since it applies to MuseScore version from 3 years ago. If it still occurs with MuseScore 1.1, feel free to reopen.
