Get rid of the first time signature of the score

Hi mate

I have a question: apart from making it invisible, is there a way to get rid of the very first time signature of a score?

Every now and then, I have to compile some examples, like when I had to prepare a whole bunch of scales in several keys -- no time signature, no stems needed.
While I found it really easy to get rid of stems, I couldn't find a way to get rid of the first time signature of the score. I just succeeded in making it invisible, but a whide empty gap was left right after the key signature and before the first note. I had to export the score as a png image, then edit it via GIMP (good results, but it's a tedious task, particularly when one has to repeat it over and over). I tried with svg, too, but the process of adapting the svg output was even longer and more difficult. Exporting the page directly as a pdf was not viable, as editing a pdf file is a complex task.

Any suggestions?

Do note, though, that this particular method probably won't work in 2.0 - the time signature appears in the new first measure, as it probably should have all along (just as the initial clef and key signature do). Instead, it appears from the development builds that you will be able to delete the time signature directly. Currently, it seems this causes MuseScore to assume 4/4 rather than keeping what was there before. You can also turn off display of time signatures in the staff style but that currently still leaves space. This can be reclaimed using a negative value for the Trailing space property in the Inspector.

I would be able to work within these new constraint, but others may wish to play around and see if they are sufficient or if perhaps some of this should be considered bugs.
