I suspect you are doing something wrong, or perhaps you are using a soundfont that maps these in non-standard ways. Have you installed a custom soundfont? If so, which one? Have you customized your "instruments.xml" file? If so, how?
If you haven't customized wither of these things, please post the score you are having problems with, and steps to reproduce the problem you are seeing.
