Assignable shortcut keys

• Sep 8, 2009 - 12:19

I'm having difficulty changing the keys assigned to note duration. It is much easier for me to think of 1 as a whole note, 2 as a half, 3 as a quarter, and so forth. But when I try to assign 1 to a whole note, I'm told that it conflicts with the shortcut for 1/64. I tried clearing the shortcuts first, but the program still knew what they were "supposed" to be, and insisted that there was still conflict. Help would be greatly appreciated.

Clear the shortcut for the one's to want to change. Press "OK" to save the changes. This will save the changes. Next time you open the shortcut editor you can change them to what you want.

Sorry for not getting back sooner. I don't have a computer at my house. I successfully changed the assignable keys by clearing out the old shortcut, and then pressing 'Apply' before going on to change another. Once in a while, I had to close and then re-open the dialog to effect the change. But the important thing is that I have them set up now. Very good feature.
