Invisible notes playing
I am trying to use the empty staves function using the workaround of entering an invisible note at the beginning of the staff. But even though I set the invisible note's velocity to zero, it is still playing. Any ideas on why this might be happening and what to do about it? For an example, see measure 7 in the attached file. Of you don't want a note to play, simply untick its play property in Inspector.
There are 2 types if velocity settings, offset, and user, only for the latter 0 should mean silence.
As mentioned above in that score velocity is set to Offset 0 (the default!), that is neither louder nor less loud than whatever the current default defined by dynamics is (80 in absence of dynamics).
Either set it to User 0 or just plain and simple disable Playback of those notes altogether.
