Selecting a note or series of notes and attempting to change the voice will cause Musescore to crash in Windows 10, Version 1709.

I can't reproduce here (Windows 10, version 1709 too).
Which version (2.1, or 3.0 dev.) are you using?
And please attach the score involved. Or a short file from scratch. Or a selection of your score (File -> Save the selection) demonstrating what you say. With steps to reproduce.
