Export chords and lyrics(copy to clipboard)

Using version 2.0.3 on linux.

Is there a way to copy/export the lyrics and chords(positions there in).
I have created this lead sheet(attached) from a hymnal (entering notes by hand, lyrics using the hyphen copy text from clipboard approach and chord to notes plugin (brilliant)) but would now like to generate a guitar chord sheet, (for onsong and the like) ie export the chords above the lyrics, no staff etc.

Is there anyway to do this?

D Bm E7 A
Your hand, O God, has guid-ed
or even better
[D]Your hand, O [Bm]God, has [E7]guid-[A]ed

much appreciated, finding my way still but loving what musescore can do
I found some reference on the web (forum) a while back but not sure if it ever got implemented and now for the life of me cant find the reference.

If you want to copy from one section to another with the same rhythms in the notes, you can select the section, right click either a chord or a lyric, then use select>all similar items in selection range, then copy (Ctrl+C) then paste to the destination. Repeat with the other item. With Lyrics it is very important to have the same rhythm, otherwise you are likely to have to do so much editing that you might as well enter them by hand.

The standard interchange format between programs is MusicXML, and MuseScore can export to that. So if the program you are wanting to use can import that, you should be good to go.

But FWIW, it should be easy enough to generate the chord sheet in MuseScore as well, just hide the staff lines notes.

Hi Marc, the text file I am trying to generate is for use outside of musescore, while I have seen musecore available for tablets there are many other functions the chord/lyric reader type apps (onSong etc) have over this implementation of musescore. I agree Musicxml import should be available on these apps but sadly the overlap from nice sheetmusic to rudimentary chords over lyrics is not supported. Seems the app world thinks musicians are either one or the other, sheet readers or chords over lyric readers :( Dear world this is not the case. In some instances I prefer to read and follow the (bass staff for eg) on other songs I prefer the freedom and simplicity of being given a chord from which to create the bassline as I go and using the positions of lyrics to estimate the timing.

However you did trigger my memory and thats the exact reference I couldnt recall :)

Unfortunately the progress looks like its gone cold

{Some further background info}
Quite often I write up (or download the millions available on the net) a chord/lyrics sheet for a song and leave it at that. Other times I write up the full sheet, learn it, then create a chord/lyric sheet to remind myself how it goes. Performing is always supported using a tablet to show the chord/lyric sheet.

Now onSong does read pdfs, I could create a path that way. But I dont actually use onSong(mentioned that app because its well know) there are many other similar but simpler apps that only support reading text based files in the format..
