Create a new piano score. Without clicking anywhere or selecting anything, select voice 2 and type G. MS will crash. Windows 8.1u1 64-bit, git 4445b07.
I was bitten by this many times while re-engraving a good test score and every so often forgot to select the measure and enter note entry mode.
