should be saved but somehow disappeared
so I've been working on this percussion ensemble piece for the past like 6 hours, and I've been saving my work about every 20 minutes. I saved my work and closed Musescore, then opened it again about 2 seconds later and more than half of the work I had done today was simply gone.

Most likely you simply saved the score to a different folder than the one you think you did when you tried opening it again. What is the name of the folder you believed you saved to? Have you tried searching your drive for other MSCZ files?
