The software stops working every few seconds. It resets automatically, but it is a drawback.

You have a large score. You probably have auto save turned on to the default every two minutes. The "Freezing" you are seeing is the time it takes to save your score. Either change auto save to a longer time in the Edit->Preferences window, or turn it off completely and remember to save often (which is what I do).
