Export to png always adds an index number after the entered file name. This also happens when one explicitly asks for the new file to replace an existing file.
I can see the logic, but it nevertheless results in unexpected behaviour, when the save dialog asks: Do you want to replace the existing file, and that then doesn't happen. Is it possible to influence the text in the save dialog, or is that entirely system-dependent?

This is by design, that number is the page number.
A change request to drop that in case there is only one page got turned down, see #99196: Remove appended page number for PNG export when parts only comprise one page.
