Multiple-note tremolos
I'd like to make the highlighted chord on the attached PNG a multi-note roll on Marimba...how do I do that?
Time Signature is 9/4 btw

do you mean two quarter note+double augmentation?
Looks like it already is a tremolo? Are you trying to change it to something else? Or are you saying the picture is not of something created yourself, and you are trying to figure out how to reproduce it? Either way, see the Handbook under Tremolo.

This is what I'm trying to achieve. Hopefully, this makes sense. Pulled it from a convo trying to explain it to my friends.

See the Handbook under "Tremolo". Short answer: enter the two chords at half their value (so it adds up to the full value), then apply the "tremolo between notes" from the Palette to the first of the chords. The notation automatically changes accordingly. So, enter two half note chords, then apply the treomolo, and it changes them both to whole notes.

I've tried this idea but I realize now that what I want to notate probably isn't even possible for Musescore. I'll just notate the original idea, with the stem tremolo, and assume the musician reading it will understand it. I'll probably end up adding system text to explain the permutation for the roll as well. Thanks for the help tho

What went wrong when you tried the above? It should result in exactly what you are asking for, at least as I understand it. If you continue to have trouble, please attach the score with your best attempt and describe what about it is different from what you want, and we can show you exactly what you need to do.
The notes in both chords are the same, so this is not really a tremolo. If you want a roll on all of the notes in the chord then only enter the chord once for the full duration and use the tremolo lines that have the vertical line through them. The tool tip says the tremolo is "...through stem"

Make 2 1/2 note chords, the first with and A and E, the second with G and C then use the tremolo between notes.
Whether one is “right” or “wrong”, I think either might be acceptable, so long as the player can read it OK

I once imagined that this should be done by tremolo arpeggios, but it doesn't play right in MS and probably not in others (can't verify this). Technically and aesthetically, imho, it would be readable by a performer who knew what they were seeing with a bit of intuition. E.g.

If you were to do this, you could always use an hidden staff with explicit notes for proper playback.

They should probably make a newer version of that notation to make it really work
