Changing number of staves in the same piece

Hi, I'm transcribing a piece for a choir, and there is one section where the parts switch to unison for a while. To save space, I want to switch from 3 staves to 1 within the song, and then back to 3 for the remainder. I feel like it's possible, but can't find anything in the stave properties. Anyone know..?
