flat and sharp symbols

• Apr 18, 2018 - 23:47

I just did the Musescore update. I can not add a flat or sharp symbol to a chord name. It worked with the previous version. I use control k and get the blinking cursor in the text box above my chord, type the letter then press F2 and click on the flat symbol and nothing happens. did the procedure change for the new version?

the file is attached.

It only looked like it was working. If you ever decided to transpose the staff with the accidentals the b or # would have been considered part of the note and ignored. So in version 2.1 Ab for a C instrument would transpose to Fb# for an Eb instrument. So, the new limitation is better than previously allowing the symbols from the F2 palette. Since chord symbols have been allowed, if you used the b & # from the keyboard the previous Ab would properly transpose to F.
