Copyright
Hey, just asking myself, if I want to make a cover of a song on Youtube, do I need to change the key of the song or something like that? Because if I want to make that cover and look here on musecore, it has already been made and copyrighted in the key I wanted to do it. How can I make a cover on that song if it is already copyrighted??? Do I need to change the key??
Greetings

Just changing key certainly is not enough to not violate copyright.
To publish (!) a cover of a copyrighted score, you need the explicit and written permission of the copyright holder.
Ciao Robbie. I am afraid it is not enough to change the Clef or whatever, e.g. arrangement to overcome copyright. Permission would be required...
as https://musescore.org/en/node/269095 ?
The question is: are you intending to make it public. If you are, you will need to get permission from the copyright holder. If it is only for personal use, go ahead.
The acquisition of MuseScore by Ultimate Guitar may be helpful in the area of copyright, (see link), but it would be wise to make no assumptions as you don't want to end up breaching copyright.

Thank you all, I will definitely ask permission first! Thanks for the answers!
