Notation appears a second or a third below the note inserted

• Sep 3, 2018 - 06:06

Inserting a note from the computer keyboard or the piano keyboard creates a note that is a second or third higher than the note intended. Inserted note must be adjusted using the down arrows on the computer keyboard. When inserting with the cursor, this happens as well, even though the proper selection appears prior to clicking.

Using Windows 7 with most current version of MuseScore. Screen capture shows F# on the piano keyboard where a G# is selected in the score.

Which clef is that on? It looks like a bass clef C#, but the note heads have been moved on the notes. You need to attach your score.

Hmm... got it, Thanks. But at the moment, it's set at 1.964mm. Seems to work fine. I might have changed it in some other manner. I had some issues with having room for chord symbols and tempo text.

Good news, I have it finished with repeats, lyrics, 1st and 2nd endings, slurs and triplets. I've learned a lot. Great software!
