Repeats
They're all working on playback but one: The repeats (first times, work) but at at m.127, it repeats back to m.14 and on playback, instead of playing the first and second endings, after m.20, it skips to m.128 ??
Any ideas? Thanks.
Sandy

You can't have a repeat inside another repeat - that's not proper notation. You should use a DS instead, and set it to play repeats using the Inspector if that's what you want, since the normal default is to not take repeats on a DS.

That is the way the score is written for Beethoven #7. At m.127, it does go back to m.14 but then skips the endings and goes on to m.128. So, how do I tell inspector to take repeats at the segno ?
Thanks.

There is no way to do that. Even if the editor of the version you are working from notated it that way back whenever that was done, today it is not considered good practice, so modern editors should use DS instead.

I was asking how to use the inspector for repeats. I did look but didn't see that option. Thanks.

D.S. is found in the repeats and jumps palette.
First off, MuseScore here does exactly what it needs to do and what any musician would do if (s)he isn't too startled/confused with what you've written:
In evaluation the repeat started by m127 starts the 3rd iteration from m14; so yes, the first and 2nd volta (which is open ended, and thus ends at m127) are dutifully skipped.
Knowing that, it's not that hard to get the desired playback.
1,3
so it'll be taken upon the 3rd iteration triggered by the repeat-end of m127.2
to3
. This ensures the repeat is once again honored during the 3rd iteration; taking playback back to m14 and starting a 4th iteration.2,4
. It'll now be taken during that 4th iteration as wellSee attached
Note you'll need MuseScore 2.2 or above for this to be interpreted correctly

But to further amend; using a D.S. "with repeats" would be the more conventional notation nowadays as pointed out above.

Thanks. Tried using D.S. and the sign for segno but it still skips the endings and goes on to m.128

Yes, as I explained above, you will then need to use the Inspector to tell MuseScore to take the repeats on the DS, since the default (in MuseScore and in the real world) is not to take them.
