Musescore takes really long to open in Windows 10

I upgraded my Musescore version to the latest and the app started taking really long to open (over a minute!). Tried deleting the folder containing the ini as suggested in a post, didn't work. Uninstalled and reinstalled but there's still an issue. Works fine in every other respect as far as I can tell. Is there an issue with Windows 10 64-bit? (my laptop has a i3 M380 CPU (2.53GHz) with 8GB RAM, so it's no slouch)

Something else that slows down MuseScore loading is if you continue the last session and there is a lot of music (either long scores or a lot of scores) to open. If you combine this with a zerberus sound font (such as used in MDL) and loading could get quite slow.
