Articulations in Voice 2

• Nov 22, 2018 - 01:58

I just updated to v2.3.2, and when I add staccato effects (or other articulations, for that matter) to notes in voice 2 on a staff, they show up above the notes instead of below them. As a result, they're hidden by the notes in voice 1.
The only way around it that I've found involves clicking on each articulation individually, which is extremely tedious when I can't see them.

Has anyone else run into this?

How are you adding the staccato? I deleted your staccatos and re-added them, and it worked as expected, they showed below the staff. I tried selecting the note and using the shortcut Shift+S, I tried double-clicking the palette icon, and I tried drag & drop. All worked as expected.

Hmm, perhaps you are using the MDL palette? This is a special palette intended for a specific type of notation in which you would normally be using only a single voice, and indeed, the staccato on the Articulations palette in that workspace is explicitly set to always appear above the staff in accordance to the standard in that world. Switch back to one of the standard workspaces if you are working with a more standard staff. Or use the shortcut Shift+S, since it works the same regardless of workspace.

Or, to flip multiple articulations at once, select the whole range of music you want to flip, right-click one staccato, Select / All Similar Elements in Range Selection, then press "X". Definitely never should be a need to select similar things one at a time.
