Instruments and transposing

• Dec 1, 2018 - 13:23

I would like the OK button the instrument choices to be at the top of the page it is always off the bottom so I have to move the screen up.

I would like repeat function. I do a lot of transposing up and down octaves and want to choose sections of music and do it again and again. The Perfect Octave which I use a lot is right at the bottom of the list and I frequently do not pick it up. Can it be at the top of the list. I would like it to remember my last choices on transposing.

Can you explain which dialog you are talking about with respect to the OK button, and which version of MsueScore, on what OS, and with what display resolution? The universal standard in GUI design is for OK buttons to be at the bottom, I can't see a reason to violate that. But assuming your ssstem meets the minimum requirements of MuseScore, all dialogs should already fit on the screen, so the OK button should always be visible.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by repeat, but you can shift select a bunch of measures, ctrl c to copy, ctrl v to paste. You can also hit r and it'll repeat the previous note.

If you're doing chords, type the bottom note and type shift + next note in the chord. If you have a lot of parallel 6ths, 3rds, etc, type out the bottom notes of the line, select all those notes, type alt+3 for 3rds, etc. Alt + 8 will get you your melody in octaves.
