When downloading Musescore 3 on a computer which blocks applications from changing files outside of its own(exept with user permission), the installer becomes a problem. It places a file in the system files, forcing these users to search for it to give the permission it needs so it will do its job. I recommend putting it inside the folder the installer created so the users don't have to do anything.

Are we talking about the Windows installer? At least in case of the Mac version there is no installer.
If it is about Win autoupdater, we cannot control this behaviour for now. We use WinSparkle which is open source project btw :)
Anyway, this is not manageable right now, so if you see the news about new version, just download the new installer from downloading page.
