Need help with the composer program.

I am new to the musescore composing program and I can't figure out how to delete the unused parts of the sheet music.

Select them and press ctrl+delete.
Oh, Sorry! Found the answer. Just select the bar and CTRL + DEL for anyone who is trying to find out too.

You don't have to CTRL+DEL 22 times. Do it in one mighty swoop. As mike said, select first:
Make sure you are not in note entry mode;
Click on the first measure in the range;
Press and hold Shift, then click on the last measure.
Then CTRL + DEL
