The default scaling for the fretboard shows X and O as square / rectangle blob regardless of page zoom or scaling. Corrected by increasing element scaling to 1.03 globally for that element

I can't reproduce any problem here. Can you attach a score and screenshot illustrating what you are seeing?

Default Templates, Styles, Palettes and a completely blank newly created score.
The workaround for an end user - adjusting frett digram style scale size globally in the sheet with chord diagram, is only an inconvenience :)
I can't see andthing in that PDF, the images are way to blury
Can't reproduce the issue either
