This issue as described below concerns only debug builds.
To reproduce:
1) Create a new tablature score.
2) Edit → Instruments.
3) Choose "Tab. 6-str. Italian" staff type
4) Press OK.
Result: assertion failure at this line.
Maybe it is OK, maybe not, but it is better to check.

My assumption is that we should be converting to chordrest only at that point, to allow for rests.
