how do you make a glissando span two clefs

Comments

Make the notes at each end of the glissando the last note in their staves. Click the start note then ctrl+click the end note then double click the glissando in the palette.

These must be staves on a single instrument like the two stave in a piano or harp. If you have problems, post your score and ask for clarification.

I would suggest you follow my instructions and use voices to create your chord. This will allow multiple notes (up to 4) to be played at the same time. If there are bogus flags on 8th and shorter notes you can select the flag and make it invisible by pressing v. You can also flip notes by selecting them and pressing x if needed.

To make things easier, while entering the glissandos, turn off "Show invisible" in the view menu so selecting an invisible glissando is unlikely. Select all but one glissando and make them invisible one at a time by pressing v. Glissandos think they are bigger than they are and like to be selected if you click close to them when they're visible.
