  1. Changing the values of certain text properties in the "Text styles" menu does not activate the "Reset to default" button; nor does it affect corresponding text in the score. The styles affected are: Let ring, Pedal, Text-line, Palm Mute.

  2. How do you create Position, Metronome and Translator text? There's don't seem to be any entries in the Inspector Styles dropdown.

Title Text styles menu: some properties don't work Changes to text styles for lines do not affect text within existing lines
Priority P1 - High

The text within text lines is not "normal" text and is indeed not affected directly by text style changes, for reasons that are sort of good, sort of not. This is unchanged from 2.3.2. I thought there was an open issue for it, but I don't see it, so I'll leave this open.

As for Metronome, and Translator, I believe those are there for MusicXML or Capella or some other import only and not intended to be creatable by users. No particular reason they couldn't be added to the dropdown anyhow if there is a real world use case for it. Where are you seeing "Position", though? maybe that was a custom style you created?

Oops. You're right. Couldn't "Translator" and "Metronome" be imported as ordinary staff text instead and just removed from the menu?

Changes in properties in "Text Styles" still have no affect on text-lines in the score.
